Out
of the ever-present haze Cairo emerges. From the 185-meter high Tower of
Cairo on the island of Jazirah it is possible to get the overview you are
longing for when you walk the busy and crowded streets. Egypt has 60 million
inhabitants, 15 or maybe up to 25 million of these live in Cairo. No one
knows for sure how big the city's population is.

City of Cairo is in fact several cities, like brothers and sisters in a
family. Each of them is different, but of the same decent and joined together
by the blood that unites a clan. One is rich, one is poor, one is nervous
and easily irritated, while another one is calm and devout and another one
is the whipping boy of the family.
Everything
repeats itself undoubtedly. If Allah wills it, tomorrow will be good. If
Allah wills it, the river of life will continue. Life is simple in Egypt,
but living is hard. In the dense haze of desert dust and air pollution the
sun sets the same way today as for ever. And forever, this is Cairo...
