to the general conditions of the Third 
World,
Egypt has a fast demographic growth. The population increases by one million
each nine month. Consequently the country has a high percentage of young
people. More than half of the population is younger than 18 years.Although
great efforts have been
done to improve the living conditions - new cities literally emerge out
of the desert - there's still obvious problems with poverty, lack of education
and unemployment. Where will the young Egyptians find their answers: in
western consumption or in religious fanaticism? For how long can Egypt wait?
