As
a tourist you are hunted down the alleys by headstrong, but at the 
same time kind, salesmen. Stubbornly they return, day after day, to the
streets of Cairo in pursuit of survival. Within a couple of minutes you
may have spoken to dozens of salesmen at Midan Talat Harb, the heart of
Cairo.The
salesmen work you with attentiveness. They read your character and state
of mind much better than you can ever imagine. The slightest interest on
your account will be considered as an opportunity to trade. If you slow
down your pace this may be enough to involve you in a business transaction.
Most of the salesmen spend almost all their time hunting for customers,
whom they can persuade to come to the compulsory little shop in one of many
countless alleys.
