A Renaissance Drama Christophora
Moro (English: Moor).
Or else did the great playwright allow himself the artistic freedom of adding
a strange and exciting element to the story. In the drama the jealous army
commander Othello strangles his for adultery wrongly accused wife Desdemona
in the tower of the fort. Today there are still towers and passages,
artillery platforms, refectory and dormitory in the fort. From Othello
Tower you may view the only harbour for cargo shipment on North Cyprus. |
